Build Your Floating Home

As you earn money and gather materials, gradually expand your raft through five different base stages. Craft improved equipment, develop useful facilities, and make your floating home better suited to life at sea. Each upgrade opens up new possibilities and gives you more room to manage your growing collection and fishing activities. Your progress comes from steady improvements, allowing you to enjoy the simulation at your own pace rather than rushing through every task.

Fish, Collect, and Complete Bounties

Fishing is at the heart of Driftline, but landing a catch takes more than simply throwing a line into the water. Aim your cast, wait for a bite, and carefully reel in your catch while keeping an eye on the line tension. Pull too hard, and you may put your fishing attempt at risk. Different discoveries help you fill your collection, while fish bounties provide specific goals to pursue as you develop your skills and equipment.

Explore a Living Sea

The surrounding ocean changes with the weather and time of day, creating new conditions for fishing and exploration. Pay attention to your environment as you search for different fish, hidden treasures, and opportunities to expand your resources. Restoring a skiff gives you a way to travel beyond your starting area and reach more distant waters. With new places to explore and more items to discover, the sea gradually becomes a larger part of your growing adventure.

Simple Controls and Relaxed Progress

Movement and interaction are handled through straightforward controls. On desktop, click a walkable platform to move around your raft, then hold the Space key or drag across the water to aim your cast. Release to throw the line, press when a fish bites, and manage the tension by holding and releasing as you reel. Click nearby facilities to use them, and drag with the right mouse button to look around. On mobile devices, play in landscape mode and use the on-screen controls to move, fish, and interact with facilities.

Developed by NorthKit Labs, Driftline offers a laid-back blend of fishing, resource management, and base building, with plenty of small goals to keep your time on the water rewarding. You can adjust sound, graphics, and language settings, as well as manage save backups through the Settings menu. Progress is saved automatically in your browser, so you can return to your floating home and continue improving it whenever you feel like spending more time at sea.
